Rabbi Dr. Shlomo Brody is the executive editor of Ematai, an organization dedicated to help Jews navigate dilemmas relating to aging, end-of-life care, and organ donation. He is also the author of the recent book, Ethics of Our Fighters: A Jewish View on War & Morality and the award-winning A Guide to the Complex: Contemporary Halakhic Debates. Rabbi Brody will be speaking about the ethics of war over Shabbat.

Rabbi Judah Dardik

Rabbi Judah Dardik is a Sgan Rosh Yeshiva (Assistant Dean) and full-time Ram at Yeshivat Orayta in the Old City of Jerusalem, where he teaches Talmud, Halachah, Jewish Philosophy, Personal Growth and oversees student welfare. He is also the Dean of the JLE, the Orayta Center for Jewish Leadership and Engagement, where he runs an adult education and Rabbinic educational missions and directs Orayta's larger effort to inspire the broader Jewish community and help train its leadership.

Rabbi Dov Linzer is the President and Rosh HaYeshiva of YCT Rabbinical School. He has published over 100 teshuvot (responsa) and scholarly Torah articles, and hosts a number of highly popular Torah podcasts. He is co-author, together with Abigail Pogrebin, of It Takes Two To Torah: An Orthodox Rabbi and Reform Journalist Discuss and Debate Their Way Through the Five Books of Moses.

Rabbi Etan Mintz is spiritual leader of B’nai Israel Congregation, where he is spearheading the revitalization of Baltimore’s oldest continually active Synagogue. A Senior rabbinic fellow of the Shalom Hartman Institute, he holds a Masters Degree in Jewish Philosophy and Mysticism from the Bernard Revel Graduate School and a M.P.A. from the Kennedy School at Harvard University.

Schwartz Scholar-in Residence: Rabbi Adam Mintz

Rabbi Adam Mintz is the rabbi of Kehilat Rayim Ahuvim, a Modern Orthodox community he founded on the Upper West Side of Manhattan and the Director of 929 English, a web-based project that promotes the daily study of a chapter of Tanakh. He is the author of Building Communities: A History of the Eruv in America and has edited several volumes of essays on Jewish thought and religion.
