Growing Beyond Academics
Student Government, school publications, theater, instrumental and vocal performing groups, a full range of interscholastic athletics and a broad range of clubs and activities offer numerous opportunities for self-expression, teamwork, and leadership. A variety of service projects provide avenues for living the Jewish values of tzedakah (charity) and chesed (kindness) that our students learn in class.
High School Clubs
Clubs are formed every year reflecting the interests and energy of Beth Tfiloh Dahan Upper School students. Time is set aside during the school day for a wide variety of activities, which have included AIPAC, the Environmental Club, Jewish Action Committee, Chess, Cultural Arts, Data Science, Mock Trial, Model UN, National Honor Society, ShalsheletLiterary Magazine, Insight Student Newspaper, SADD, Sports & Spirit Club, Tikkun Olam, VR, and dozens more.
Middle School Clubs
Beth Tfiloh’s Middle School Co-Curricular Enrichment Clubs offer students a variety of opportunities to explore their interests beyond their rigorous classroom curricula, including building and programming robots, testing Tanach skills, Mock Trial, or getting moving with Zumba or jump rope fitness workshops.
PreSchool & Lower School Sunday Sports
The Beth Tfiloh Athletic Department sponsors Sunday sports throughout the school year. Soccer is offered in the fall, basketball in the winter, and lacrosse in the spring. The Sunday sports program includes students in the PreSchool 3's and 4’s, Kindergarten, and Grades 1 through 4. The program meets at specified times for each grade level on Sunday mornings.
The sports programs are designed to develop skills and knowledge of the game in an environment of good sportsmanship. Each day begins with drills followed by a game. The program is run by professional staff with the assistance of parents. For more information, contact Stacy Fuld, Athletics Director at 410-413-2327.
