  • College Counselor

    COLLEGE GUIDANCE COUNSELOR
     
    Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community High School seeks a part-time or full-time college counselor beginning January 1, 2025. The College Guidance Department serves all students in the area of college guidance and planning as part of a team approach with a staff of seasoned professionals who have cultivated strong relationships with many college admissions offices. Our colleges advisors work with students and their families, with special emphasis placed on working with seniors in the fall and juniors in the spring.

    Candidates for this 10-month position will possess a bachelor’s degree (master’s degree preferred), excellent writing and communication skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Enthusiasm for the work and compassion for students and families is a must. Experience in college admissions or college counseling is desirable.

  • PreSchool Teacher

    Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School is seeking full-time preschool lead teachers for the 2024-2025 school year. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, or 90 hour equivalent, have experience with emergent curriculum, and are knowledgeable about Jewish practice and observance. In addition, candidates should demonstrate creativity, a sense of humor, love of children, knowledge of child development, experience with inquiry-based learning, and a reflective teaching practice.

  • Hebrew Language teachers (Grades 5-12)

    Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School is seeking one or more candidates to join its faculty as Hebrew Language teachers for its Middle School and/or High School for the 2023-2024 school year. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

    The ideal candidate will be an educator who is a native Hebrew speaker and has expertise teaching students in Grades 5-12 at varying academic levels to achieve language comprehension and written and oral expression in Hebrew, as well as a love of Israel, and a knowledge and appreciation of Israeli culture.

  • Lower School Learning Specialist

    Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School is seeking a lower school learning specialist to provide academic support for the 2023-2024 school year. Responsibilities include supporting students with language-based learning differences in a small group learning environment for reading instruction, writing, and math instruction. Candidates should have a background and experience in Special Education as well as Orton Gillingham training.  We are looking for passionate educators who exhibit flexibility, creativity and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.

  • Music Educator

    Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School, a coeducational Jewish day school in Baltimore, Maryland, is currently seeking a Music Educator for its PreSchool and Lower School.
    Responsibilities would include:
    • Teaching our Pre-School Exploratory Band Program which exposes the 2, 3, & 4-year-old students to band instruments (Violin, Recorders, and Percussion).
    • Teaching our Lower School Exploratory Band Program with grades K – 4 students (Violin, Clarinet, Trumpet, Percussion).
    • Instituting and teaching a Lower School 4th Grade Choir Program. Choir experience is needed however, this class will be team taught with our current Lower School Music Instructor. 
    ​The ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule since the days and times each week are in rotations. Salary will be based on experience and the total number of classes to be taught.

  • Athletic Trainer - Full/Part Time

    Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School, a co-educational Jewish private school in Baltimore serving students in preschool through high school, seeks an Athletic Trainer for its Athletic Department. This is a full or part-time, 10-month position that reports directly to the Athletic Director.

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Assess athletic injuries, provide treatment, and supervise rehabilitation for student-athletes.
    • Coordinate with school nurses, athletic department staff, school administration, and parents following injuries to student-athletes.
    • Maintain detailed records of injuries and treatments.
    • Provide on-site coverage at games and practices daily after regular school hours.
    • Be available and reachable by phone for emergencies at other sites during athletic events.
    • Work occasional weekend hours such as Saturday night and Sunday games.
    • Provide extended coverage at games during annual high school basketball tournament.
    • Maintain student-athlete records for medical clearance and ImPACT concussion testing.
    • Maintain records for coaches’ CPR/AED training and concussion awareness training.
    • Maintain inventory of team medical kits.
    • Teach approximately two Middle School Physical Education classes per day.

    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s Degree is required.
    • 1-2 years of experience in a school setting is preferable.
    • Must be certified as an Athletic Trainer by the Board of Certification.
    • Must be licensed in the State of Maryland or eligible to obtain licensure in the state of Maryland within 60 days of hire.
    • Must be CPR/AED certified.
    Essential Qualities:
    • Tech savvy – able to use email and document sharing services effectively and efficiently.
    • Team player – adaptable to the changing needs of a large athletics program.
    • Role model – demonstrates professional behavior and treats students and colleagues with respect at all times.
    • Athletic background – a history of playing and/or enjoying a variety of sports.
    • Communicator – excellent oral and written communication skills.
