During the summer months plans for special Yom Tov programming began. We are excited to have the opportunity to participate in the wonderful Hershey Park Program during Chol HaMoed Sukkot. This event is arranged by the Jewish community in Lancaster, Pa. and we will be joining day schools from up and down the East Coast. This is an opportunity for our Middle School students to enjoy the traditional fun of the park and the special ambience created by Sukkot that are built throughout the park. Those who have attended other years have enjoyed seeing friends from other schools, camps and youth groups that also participate. This is a school trip that counts as a school day.
The cost of the trip is a reduced fee of $60 (subsidized by Beth Tfiloh) which includes transportation. Recognizing the financial burden on families, additional scholarship is available upon request. Students are encouraged to bring lunch, or they may purchase food from the Kosher food concessions throughout the park (only Kosher concessions will be open). Students should arrive to school at the regular time and will return to Beth Tfiloh at 7:30 pm. High School Seniors will return 1.5 hours later. Please call the Information Hotline after 6:30 at 410-413-2345 to check for updates.
All students must wear school dress code shirts. Boys, kippot or hats are required at all times. Students may wear appropriately fitting jeans (no overly tight, low cut or torn jeans). No flip flops or sandals. More detailed information will be disseminated prior to the trip. Looking forward to a great day at Hershey Park!
