• Timeless Values in a Challenging World

  At BT we are passionate about Judaism and creating a dynamic and meaningful Jewish educational community. Torah values are at the core of everything we do. They connect children to their heritage, inform how they learn and how they play—how they see themselves, how they interact with each other, and how they navigate an increasingly complex and challenging world. At the core of our mission is the sanctity of each member of the school community as reflected in the concept of B’Tzelem Elokim: that each individual is created in the image of God and is therefore deserving of compassion and respect. Everyone at BT is valued for the unique contribution he or she brings to our school.

• Derech Eretz: Honor and Respect

  From an early age, students are taught the importance of derech eretz, honorable and respectful behavior toward others. From PreSchool to High School, students embrace the values of being a mentsch: a person of integrity and honor. While developing students’ character, traditional Torah study stimulates intellectual curiosity, sharpens critical thinking, and fosters written and oral self-expression.

  
  

  Colleges and universities have come to recognize our program’s proven ability to nurture graduates who are not only well-prepared academically, but who also have been exposed to a wide range of opinions and beliefs.

• A Diverse and Inclusive Community

  As one of its founding principles, Beth Tfiloh embodies Klal Yisrael, the Jewish community as a whole, with a faculty and student body that represent a broad spectrum of practices and beliefs. Students come from all branches of Judaism—Orthodox, Conservative, Reform, and Reconstructionist; some are unaffiliated as well. As part of the BT community, they and their families appreciate the diversity that Beth Tfiloh represents, embracing differences in practice and valuing that which unites them as Jews.

• Fostering a Love of Israel - Engagement

  Central to our common heritage is our indelible connection to Eretz Yisrael, the land and people of Israel. From their earliest days at BT, children learn about Israel and its place in Jewish tradition and history. As seniors, they travel together to explore first-hand the place they have come to know so well during the Natanzon/Taylor Senior Trip to Poland and Israel.

• Tikkun Olam in Action

  From an early age, Beth Tfiloh students participate in a variety of tikkun olam projects to develop their social consciousness, environmental awareness, and responsibility to make the world a better place. In High School, community service is an integral part of the curricular program, with students reaching out into the Jewish community and beyond to perform a variety of services.
